Set up a connection to ChannelEngine

ChannelEngine is a centralized platform that helps businesses manage product listings, inventory, pricing, and orders across multiple online marketplaces from one place.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your ChannelEngine API type:

  • Channel: Access marketplace (channel) details, requirements, and configurations to understand channel-specific rules and capabilities.

  • Merchant: Manage merchant-level data such as orders, returns, shipments, and inventory to run day-to-day marketplace operations.

  • Channel Management: Configure and control channel connections, including product listings, pricing, availability, and mappings to onboard and manage multiple marketplaces efficiently.

Channel API type:

Domain * 

Enter your ChannelEngine account domain. For example, if your account URL is https://my-store.channelengine.net/, then my-store is the domain.

API key * 

Enter your ChannelEngine’s Channel API key.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your key safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

Merchant API type:

Domain * 

Enter your ChannelEngine account domain. For example, if your account URL is https://my-store.channelengine.net/, then my-store is the domain.

API key * 

Enter your ChannelEngine’s Merchant API key.

Enter your ChannelEngine’s Channel Management API key provided by their Support team. For more information, see Prerequisites.

How to retrieve the Channel API key

  1. Sign in to your ChannelEngine account.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Setup.

  3. Enter a Name. For more information, see API keys.

  4. Copy the API key.

How to retrieve the Merchant API key

  1. Sign in to your ChannelEngine account.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Merchant API keys.

  3. Click Add. For more information, see API keys.

  4. Enter a Name and Description.

  5. Click Add.

  6. Copy the API key.
