Set up a connection to Teamwork.com

Teamwork.com is a project management and collaboration platform that allows teams to plan projects, manage tasks, track time, and work together efficiently from one place.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type *

Choose your Teamwork.com API type:

  • Projects: Manage projects, tasks, milestones, time tracking, and users to plan work, track progress, and collaborate across teams.

  • Desk: Handle customer support tickets, inboxes, and conversations to manage helpdesk workflows and provide customer support.

  • Spaces: Create and organize internal documentation, knowledge bases, and team content to share information and collaborate on docs in one place.

Projects API type:

API version *

Select your Teamwork.com account API version (v1v2, or v3).

Region *

Select your Teamwork.com account region:

  • US: if your account URL is https://yourcompany.teamwork.com

  • EU: if your account URL is https://yourcompany.eu.teamwork.com

Auth type *

Select your Teamwork.com authentication type (Basic or OAuth 2.0).

API key *

Enter your Teamwork.com API key.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your key safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

OAuth 2.0 client *

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Teamwork.com.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit (pencil.svg) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

Desk API type:

API version

Select your Teamwork account’s API version (v0 or v2).

Region *

Select your Teamwork.com account region:

  • US: if your account URL is https://yourcompany.teamwork.com

  • EU: if your account URL is https://yourcompany.eu.teamwork.com

Site name *

Enter your Teamwork.com site name. For example, if your account URL is https://celigo.teamwork.com, then celigo is your site name.

Spaces API type:

User ID * (if API version is v0)

Enter your Teamwork account user ID. For example, if your account URL is https://celigo.teamwork.com/app/people/123456/, then 123456 is your user ID.

Space ID * (if API version is v2)

Enter your Teamwork account space ID.

OAuth 2.0 client *

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Teamwork.com.

How to retrieve the API key

  1. Sign in to your Teamwork.com developer account.

  2. Navigate to ProfileEdit my detailsAPI and mobile.

  3. Click Show your token.

  4. Copy the API key.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret

  1. Sign in to your Teamwork.com developer account.

  2. Click Create your first app.

  3. Enter a Name.

  4. Select a Product. For more information, see Create app.

  5. Enter Celigo integrator.io Redirect URL.

  6. Click Create app.

  7. Copy the Client ID.

  8. Copy the Client secret.

How to retrieve the space ID

  1. Sign in to your Teamwork.com account.

  2. Navigate to Other appsTeamwork spaces.

  3. Click Create a space.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Copy the Space ID.

Save and authorize

  1. Click Save and authorize to commit your changes and proceed to sign in with Teamwork.com.

  2. After signing in, review the permissions for the integration and click Accept.
