Schedule and run a sync

After describing your destination application in Step 2 of creating a Celigo sync, continue with Step 3: Settings.

General settings

  1. Name your sync so that you can easily reference it throughout the platform.

  2. Describe your sync so that other users can quickly understand its function and purpose.

  3. Choose to receive email notification whenever a sync encounters an error or any of its connections goes offline, so that you can quickly fix the problem. The Celigo platform checks for errors every 15 minutes. (Integration-wide error alerts and connection status options are also available in the Notifications tab. Each user must belong to this account to receive notifications.)

Schedule sync settings

  1. Set the time zone that the Celigo platform will use to run your sync. (Be aware of how time zone precedence and daylight saving time can affect schedule behavior.)

  2. Choose a sync schedule, the default preset or cron.

    1. If you choose to schedule your flow with presets, select one of the following options from the Frequency list:

      • Once weekly

      • Once daily

      • Twice daily (minimum of every 12 hours)

      • Every eight hours

      • Every six hours

      • Every four hours

      • Every two hours

      • Every hour

      • Every 30 minutes

      • Every 15 minutes

    2. Choose an optional Start time for the first sync to run after midnight on selected days, and an End time to discontinue the periodic runs before midnight on selected days.

      Note

At the Start time, the Celigo platform adds the sync to the queue for processing, but the actual run time may be delayed by jobs that are ahead in the queue. Under rare circumstances, Celigo may also change available start times to accommodate high processing traffic.

    3. Optionally, select certain days to limit the sync from running each day.

  3. Choose a date to run your sync starting at that point. The Sync historical data date is useful for providing an initial backfill for ingestion, especially if your source application’s objects are set to a delta Extract mode.

Run the sync

Before a sync can run, it must be enabled. If you have disabled the default active status, turn on the Enable (enable-toggle.png) toggle; then, click Enable when the confirmation message is shown.

Then, the next scheduled sync will apply. You can run the sync anytime on demand by clicking the Run button (run_flow.svg) in the sync or in the integration’s list.

Edit a sync

After you’ve saved a sync, you can view or modify its settings at any time:

  1. From the Home page, open the integration.

  2. Click the sync name.

  3. Open its Sync details tab.

  4. Click through to the Source, Destination, or Settings step.

You can also easily see and modify the schedule by clicking the Schedule button (calendar.svg) in the list of syncs.
