In general, the Cash Application Manager uses the invoice number present in the bank files to find a matching invoice record in NetSuite and payment is created against the matching invoice found in NetSuite. When a matching invoice record is found in NetSuite, that record is linked to bank invoice and the matched invoice record information is populated in the Celigo Cash App Transaction record. In some case, while searching for matching invoice record in NetSuite, the connector may find more than one matching invoice record within NetSuite. To handle this scenario, the Invoice Auto-application field has been added in the Settings > Advanced Settings tab for the Bank File to NetSuite flow that allows you to direct the connector to search for invoices under the Transaction customer first and apply for payments only to those invoices that belong to the Transaction customer.
When this field is selected, the connector looks for the incoming remittance under the transaction customer and if found payment is applied to that invoice. In this case, the payment is not applied to the incoming invoices which do not belong to the Transaction customer.
Note: When you change the customer associated with the Celigo Cash App Transaction record, the payments associated with the deleted customer is removed from the Celigo Cash App Transaction record in NetSuite. Now, a new payment is created and the remittance invoice is searched under that customer and if found the new payment is applied to these invoices.
