Set up a connection to Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is cloud financial software that helps to meet the accounting demand from small organizations to public companies.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Sage Intacct account API type:

  • XML: Get access to complex financial workflows, bulk data operations, and multi-entity management.

  • REST: Get access to modern apps, real-time integrations, and standard objects like customers, invoices, and vendors.

Sender ID * 

Enter your Sage Intacct sender ID.

How to retrieve the sender ID: 

User ID * 

Enter your Sage Intacct web services user ID.

How to retrieve the web services user ID: 

Company ID * 

Enter your Sage Intacct company ID.

How to retrieve the company ID: 

Sender password * 

Enter your Sage Intacct sender password that you received in the email after creating the sender ID.

Multiple layers of protection are in place, including AES 256 encryption, to keep your connection’s sender password safe. When editing this form later, you must enter this token again; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

Password * 

Enter your Sage Intacct account password that you received in the email after creating the web service user.

API type: REST 

OAuth 2.0 client * 

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Sage Intacct.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret:

Grant type * 

Select your application grant type:

  • Authorization code: The user must grant the application access to their data.

  • Client credentials: The application gets direct access without user involvement.

Client ID * 

Enter your Sage Intacct client ID.

How to retrieve the client ID: 

Client secret * 

Enter your Sage Intacct client secret.

How to retrieve the client secret: 

Username

Enter your Sage Intacct username in userId@companyId|entityId format. For example, Admin@oauth2_main1|Central Region.

Note

Provide either the Username or the Session ID to establish a successful connection.

How to retrieve the user ID, company ID, and entity ID:

Session ID

Enter your Sage Intacct account API session ID.

Tip

How to retrieve the sender ID

  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.

  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.

  3. Navigate to Setup > Configuration > Company > Security.

  4. From the Web services authorizations section.

  5. Copy the Sender ID.

How to retrieve the web services user ID

  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.

  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.

  3. Navigate to Admin > Web services users.

  4. From the Web services users list, copy the required User ID. If the web service user is not added, click Add. For more information on how to add a user, see  Add a web services user.

How to retrieve the company ID

  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.

  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.

  3. Navigate to Setup > Configuration > Company > General information.

  4. From the Company Information section, copy the ID.

How to retrieve the client ID and client secret:

  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct admin console.

  2. Navigate to My account.

  3. Click Create app. For detailed information, see How to create an app.

  4. Enter an App name.

  5. Enter your Email address.

  6. Enter the Celigo Redirect URL.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Copy the Client ID.

  9. Copy the Client Secret.

How to retrieve the entity ID:

  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.

  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.

  3. Navigate to SetupEntities.

  4. Click + (if you created an entity, click Edit and copy the Entity ID).

  5. Enter and copy the ID. For detailed information, see Add an entity to your company.

  6. Enter a Name.
