Set up a connection to ConnectWise

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection *

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Region *

Select your ConnectWise account region (either AUEU, or NA).

Client ID *

Enter your ConnectWise client ID.

How to retrieve the client ID

Username *

Enter your ConnectWise company ID followed by + and public key.

How to retrieve the company ID and public key

Password *

Enter your ConnectWise private key.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your password safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

How to retrieve the client ID

  1. Sign in to your ConnectWise account.

  2. Click Create new integration.

  3. Enter an Integration name and Description.

  4. Choose Integration type and enter Technical contact email.

  5. Select the Product

  6. Click Submit.

  7. Copy the Client ID.

How to retrieve the company ID, username, and password

  1. Sign in to your ConnectWise account.

  2. Navigate to Companies.

  3. Copy the Company ID.

  4. Navigate to My accountAPI keys.

  5. Click +.

  6. Copy the Public key.

  7. Copy the Private key.
