Set up a connection to FedEx

Set up a connection

This video demonstrates creating a FedEx connection.

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

Environment * 

Select your FedEx account environment:

  • Sandbox: if your account URL is https://apis-sandbox.fedex.com.

  • Production: if your account URL is https://apis.fedex.com.

OAuth 2.0 client * 

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by FedEx.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit () button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

How to retrieve client ID and client secret

  1. Sign in to your FedEx developer account.

  2. Navigate to Menu > My projects.

  3. Click + Create a project

  4. Select an API access requirement.

  5. Click Select for the required API.

  6. Check the required APIs. 

  7. Click Next.

  8. Enter a Project name.

  9. Read and check the terms.

  10. Click Create.

  11. Click Okay.

  12. Copy the API key (Client ID).

  13. Copy the Secret key (Client secret).
