Set up a connection to Amplitude

Amplitude is a product analytics platform that helps companies understand user behavior across web and mobile applications.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Amplitude API type:

  • Analytics: Send and query event and user data to analyze behavior, build cohorts, and power dashboards for product and marketing insights.

  • SCIM: Manage Amplitude users and groups through automated provisioning and de-provisioning using the SCIM 2.0 standard to streamline identity management.

  • User profile: Access detailed user attributes, cohort memberships, and recommendation data to personalize user experiences and analyze individual user behavior.

  • Attribution: Track and attribute campaign touchpoints to users using advertising IDs to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize acquisition channels.

API type: Analytics

API key * 

Enter your Amplitude API key.

How to retrieve the API key 

Secret key * 

Enter your Amplitude analytics secret key.

Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your secret key safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

How to retrieve the secret key 

Region * 

Select your Amplitude Analytics account region:

  • Standard server: if your account URL is https://app.amplitude.com/a/

  • EU residency server: if your account URL is https://app.eu.amplitude.com/a/

API type: SCIM

SCIM key * 

Enter your Amplitude SCIM key.

How to retrieve the API key and secret key

  1. Sign in to your Amplitude account.

  2. Navigate to Organization settings > Project.

  3. Select your project. For detailed information, see Create a project.

  4. From General, copy the API key.

  5. From General, copy the Secret key.

How to retrieve the SCIM key

  1. Sign in to your Amplitude account.

  2. Navigate to Organization settings > Provisioning settings > Access and SSO settings

    Note: This feature is available only for the Enterprise plan.

  3. From Provisional settings, enable SCIM provisioning.

  4. Click Generate SCIM key. For detailed information, see SCIM provisioning.

  5. Copy the SCIM key.
