Set up a connection to Microsoft Advertising

Microsoft Advertising is a digital advertising platform that enables businesses to create, manage, and optimize advertising campaigns across Microsoft-owned and partner networks.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings;

Setting Instructions
Name your connection * 

Enter a clear and distinguishable name.

Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.

API type * 

Choose your Microsoft Advertising account API type:

  • Campaign Management: Create and manage campaigns, ad groups, keywords, ads, budgets, and other advertising resources across Microsoft Advertising accounts
  • Ad Insight: Retrieve keyword suggestions, bid estimates, and performance insights to optimize campaigns and improve ad targeting
  • Bulk: Upload and download large volumes of campaign data to efficiently create, update, or manage Microsoft Advertising accounts in bulk
  • Reporting: Generate and retrieve performance reports for campaigns, ads, keywords, audiences, and other advertising metrics
  • Customer Billing: Access billing accounts, invoices, payments, and spending information to manage Microsoft Advertising account finances
  • Customer Management: Manage customers, accounts, users, and permissions to administer Microsoft Advertising accounts and organizational access
Environment * Select your Microsoft Advertising account environment: For detailed information on your account environment as per the API type, see Bing Ads API web service addresses.
Developer token * Enter your Microsoft Advertising account developer token. For detailed information on retrieving the developer token, see Get a developer token.
OAuth 2.0 client * Enter your Microsoft Advertising account client ID and secret. For detailed information on retrieving your client ID and secret, see Register an Application.
Scopes * 

Scopes are OAuth 2.0 permissions that Microsoft Advertising defines to limit access to your account.

How to configure scopes

  1. Click Scope.
  2. To access all of the scopes in the API, click the » button.

    – or – 

    Check the scopes you want to add and click the > button.

  3. Click Save.

Save and authorize

  1. Click Save and authorize to commit your changes and proceed to sign in with Microsoft Advertising.
  2. After signing in, review the permissions for the integration and click Accept.
