Track your lookup cache usage and limits

Lookup Cache usage is measured in units, where each read or write request counts against the cache as one unit. The Celigo platform tracks usage so you can monitor how close you are to your monthly limit and avoid unexpected interruptions.

  • Read requests – Counted each time your flow reads from the lookup cache, up to 4 KB per read, regardless of whether the read actually returns a cached value.
  • Write requests – Counted each time your flow writes to the lookup cache, up to 1 KB per write. Both read and write requests count toward the same overall monthly unit limit.

If you are within the monthly limits, you can have any ratio of read to write requests. You can view the lookup cache usage on the Account → Subscription page if you're an account owner of admin. For more information, see Account subscriptions and entitlements overview

Who has access to lookup cache

Lookup cache is available to customers on the following license tiers:

  • Platform license: Professional and Enterprise
  • Endpoint license: Premium, Professional, and Enterprise

If your account's license doesn't include lookup cache, the feature is disabled by default. Contact your account team if you'd like to add it to your plan.

Monthly usage limits

Celigo sets default monthly limits based on your license tier:

License tier  Monthly unit limit
Enterprise 100,000,000
Professional  25,000,000

These defaults apply whether you're on an older or newer pricing model. In addition to the monthly unit limit, each environment has its own storage allocation for cached data.

Note: Monitor your lookup cache usage regularly. If you're consistently approaching your limit, consider purchasing add-on capacity before you run out.

Usage notifications

Celigo sends email notifications as you approach and reach your monthly limit:

  • 80% of limit reached – Early warning notification
  • 90% of limit reached – Second warning notification
  • 100% of limit reached – Limit reached notification

These notifications give you time to reduce usage, purchase add-on capacity, or plan for the next billing cycle before requests are affected.

Purchase add-on capacity

If you're on a Professional or Enterprise plan and have exhausted your monthly limit, you can purchase add-on usage capacity to continue using lookup cache without interruption. Contact your account team to add this capacity to your plan.

Lookup Cache FAQs

Q. Does creating or editing a lookup cache configuration use up my monthly limit?

A. No. Only actual read and write requests against the cache data count toward your usage. Configuration changes don't consume units.

Q. Are read requests counted even if they don't return a cached value?

A. No. Only successful returns are counted , if data is not present we don't count it as consumed unit

Q. What's the difference between my monthly unit limit and my storage allocation?

A. Your monthly unit limit caps the total number of read and write requests you can make in a billing cycle. Your storage allocation is a separate, per-environment limit on how much data you can keep cached at one time.
