Deleting a tool moves it to the recycle bin, where it stays for 30 days — or until your data retention policy removes it — before it's gone for good. You can't delete a tool while any flow, API, AI agent, MCP server, or other tool references it, so this article shows integrator.io users and administrators how to find those references first and then delete the tool.
Only account owners, administrators, and users with Manage access to the tool's integration can delete a tool. Tools are deleted one at a time.
Check what uses the tool
- Go to AI studio, and then select Tools.
- In the tool's row, select Actions > Used by.
- For each resource listed, open it and remove the reference to the tool.
Until the list is empty, deletion is blocked — see Troubleshoot tools for the message.
Delete the tool
On the Tools page, select Actions > Delete tool in the tool's row, and then select Delete in Confirm delete.
The tool moves to the recycle bin. Its lookups and imports aren't deleted; they stay in the integration. To restore it within 30 days, go to Resources, and then select Recycle bin. For the retention period, see Data retention policy.
