Downloading a tool packages it, with every nested tool, lookup, import, and script it uses, as a zip file you can keep, share, or upload into another account or environment — for example, to promote a tool from a sandbox to production. This article shows integrator.io users and administrators how to download a tool, how to upload one, and what still needs configuring afterward. For copying within the platform without a file, see Clone a tool; for managed promotion between environments, see Promote tools with ILM.
Download a tool
- Go to AI studio, and then select Tools.
- In the tool's row, select Actions > Download tool.
The zip file contains the tool, its nested tools, and all scripts, lookups, and imports they reference, each included once. Connections aren't included.
Upload a tool
A tool always belongs to an integration, so a tool is uploaded as part of an integration zip, not on its own: download the integration that contains the tool, and at the destination go to Home, select Upload > Integration, and install the zip. See Install an integration from a zip file.
During the install, references between the tool, its nested tools, and their steps are re-linked automatically. You choose a connection for each one the tool uses, as you do for any installed integration.
