The BigCommerce Product Categories to NetSuite Add/Update flow in the Product section allows you to import categories along with its hierarchy from BigCommerce to NetSuite. When you run this flow, the Integration App picks all the categories and their hierarchy listed in the Product Categories section from your BigCommerce account.
This information from BigCommerce is then transferred to NetSuite in the Celigo BigCommerce Product Category List custom record as demonstrated in the following image:
You can also use the following setting in Advanced Setting to configure how the categories and its hierarchy information is displayed in NetSuite:
Add BigCommerce Categories in NetSuite as
Let’s select the way categories information is displayed in the NetSuite custom record. For example, the following information demonstrates how the Men’s -> Shoes -> Sports Shoes category information is displayed in NetSuite when you select:
- Level 1: Level 2: Level n - Men’s: Shoes: Sport Shoes
- Level n: Level 2: Level 1 - Sport Shoes: Shoes: Men’s
- Level n (Level1: Level n-1) - Sport Shoes (Men’s: Shoes)
Note: Once you change and save the drop-down value and run the flow again, the display of categories information in NetSuite is accordingly updated as per your selection.
Item export with categories
In addition to importing categories from BigCommerce to NetSuite, you can also use this feature to assign categories with its hierarchy to the items being imported into BigCommerce from NetSuite when you run the NetSuite Item to BigCommerce Product Add/Update flow in the Product section.
The BigCommerce Categories field under the eTail tab for an item record store the category-specific information. The following screen demonstrates the same:
- The item export flow does not delete any existing values from the corresponding item in BigCommerce if no category assignment for an item is done by you in NetSuite.
- The Integration App replaces the category information for an item in BigCommerce with the information in NetSuite, if the item record in NetSuite has categories values assigned to it.
