Whitelist IP addresses in Salesforce

To enhance your organization’s data security, you can provide a set of approved IP addresses that bypass login challenges. Follow the steps below to include the IP addresses of the Celigo servers and enable the Salesforce connection to operate smoothly:

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup.
  2. In the Quick Find / Search Box, enter “Security”.
  3. Click Network Access.
  4. Click New to create Trusted IP Ranges.
  5. Enter a valid IP address in the Start IP Address field and a higher IP address in the End IP Address field.

    Note: The start and end IP addresses define the range of allowable IP addresses from where you sign in. If you want to restrict access to a single IP address, enter the same address in both fields. For example, if you want to allow only 125.12.3.0, enter 125.12.3.0 as both the start and end addresses.

    Limitations:
    • For an IPv4 range, ensure that the start and end IP addresses do not exceed 33,554,432 addresses (225, a /7 CIDR block).
      For example, the following ranges are valid:
      • 0.0.0.0 to 1.255.255.255
      • 132.0.0.0 to 132.255.255.255
      • 132.0.0.0 to 133.255.255.255
      The range of IP addresses 0.0.0.0 to 2.255.255.255 or 132.0.0.0 to 134.0.0.0 is too large and not valid.
    • For an IPv6 range, the start and end IP addresses should not exceed 79,228,162,514,264,337,593,543,950,336 addresses (296, a /32 CIDR block).
      For example, the following range is valid:
      • 2001:8000:: to 2001:8000:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
      The range of IP addresses :: to ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff or 2001:8000:: to 2001:8001:: are too large and not valid.
