Set up a connection to Oracle Eloqua Automation

Oracle Eloqua Automation is a comprehensive marketing automation platform offering tools for lead generation, nurturing, and campaign management.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings: 

Setting Instructions
Name your connection * Enter a clear and distinguishable name.
Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.
API type *

Choose your Eloqua account API type:

  • Application: Get automation engines, program builder, and campaign canvas details
  • Bulk: Get contacts, accounts, events, campaign responses, and opportunities and more details
API version * (This setting is only applicable for the Application API type)

Select your Eloqua account API version (either 1.0 or 2.0).

Subdomain *

Enter your Eloqua account subdomain. For example, if your account URL is https://secure.p03.eloqua.com/API then, secure.p03 is your subdomain.

Auth type *

Select your Eloqua authentication type (either Custom or OAuth 2.0)

OAuth 2.0 *

(This setting is only applicable when OAuth 2.0 is selected as the Auth type)

Select the OAuth 2.0 client that stores the client ID and client secret provided to you by Eloqua.

To add an OAuth 2.0 client and configure your credentials, click the plus (+) button. Click the edit ( ) button to modify a selected OAuth 2.0 client. For more information, see Create an OAuth 2.0 iClient resource.

Username *

Enter your Eloqua account username.

Site name *

Enter your company name. For more information, see Authentication.

Password *

Enter your Eloqua account password.
Multiple layers of protection, including AES 256 encryption, are in place to keep your password safe. When editing this connection, you must re-enter this value each time; it is stored only when the connection is saved and never displayed as text.

  1. Sign in to your Eloqua account. 
  2. Navigate to Settings > App cloud developer.
  3. Click Create new app. For more information, see Authentication.
  4. Enter a Name and Callback URL.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Copy the Client ID.
  7. Copy the Client secret.
