Shopify - NetSuite release notes v1.36.0, January 2021

What’s new

Clone your integration flows from one integration tile to another integration tile using a template

You can now clone your store setting values and mappings from one integration tile to another integration tile of different environments (production or sandbox) with one store at a time. You can also clone settings and mappings from one to many stores within the same integration tile.

For more information, refer to Clone your store from one integration tile to another integration tile OR within the same tile.

What’s enhanced

Consider line-level mappings to create NetSuite deposits in the “Payout to Reconciliation” add-on

While creating deposits in NetSuite, the Shopify “Payout to Reconciliation” add-on considers the line-level mappings that are added for payments, cash backs, and other deposits. The line-level mapping added in the first line for payment or cashback is applied to all the other lines while creating the deposit record.

For more information, refer to Consider line-level mappings to create NetSuite deposits.

Replace kit item that has serialized or lot numbered items with the selected non-inventory item in the “Substitute item for Bin/Lot numbered/Serialized item” setting as a line item on the NetSuite cash refund

For kit inventory items that have serialized or lot numbered items as member items, the Integration App can’t create a refund line due to a NetSuite limitation. The Integration App is enhanced to replace that specific kit item with the non-inventory item selected in the Substitute item for Bin/Lot numbered/Serialized item setting (Settings > Refund section > Shopify to NetSuite tab). The selected non-inventory item is the substitute item for the bin, lot numbered, serialized, and kit inventory items (that has at least one lot numbered/serial items) during refund. When you refund items without any restock, this selected item is added as a line item with quantity zero on the NetSuite cash refund. In NetSuite, if you enable inventory status, the regular line items are replaced with the selected substitute item.

Note: For kit items with normal inventory items as member items, the kit item line is not replaced.

For more information, see Auto-assign inventory detail to Shopify orders with Serialized/Lot Numbered Items.

Sync customer refund created against the customer deposit to Shopify using the “NetSuite Refund to Shopify Refund Add” flow

When you sync a paid order as a sales order with a customer deposit to NetSuite, and if there is a refund request even before the order is fulfilled, a refund adjustment is required in NetSuite instead of item restock. In this scenario, the fulfillment and invoice records are not created in NetSuite and a customer refund is created against the open customer deposit. The “NetSuite Refund to Shopify Refund Add” flow is enhanced to sync the customer refunds created against the open customer deposit to Shopify along with the existing functionality. The flow:

  • Supports to sync both partial and full customer refunds.
  • Creates a refund adjustment with information such as amount, transaction type, and transaction currency.

For more information, refer to Sync refund orders with Shopify - NetSuite refund flow.

Integration App compatible with 2020-10 Shopify API version

The Integration App is now compatible and upgraded to support the Shopify API version 2020-10.

Display dependent flows on the Integration App user interface

You can now find the dependent flows on the Integration App user interface that was previously available only in the backend code. These flows are either auto-triggered or run in sequence by one of the existing integration flows. You can’t schedule, enable, or run the dependent flows. Following are the dependent flows:

  • Shopify store to NetSuite store (update)
  • Shopify product ID to NetSuite item (update)
  • NetSuite image to Shopify image (add or update)
  • Shopify order to NetSuite sales order/cash sale Add (on-demand sync)

For more information, refer to Understand the Shopify - NetSuite Integration App dependent flows.

Note: The Shopify fulfillment error messages that are displayed on the Integration App Dashboard are now enhanced to include the order ID and other details to resolve the error.

What’s fixed

Order edits with negative adjustments that have non-taxable order lines are not ignored

The Shopify Order to NetSuite Order/CashSale Add flow doesn't ignore and syncs the order edits with negative adjustments that are non-taxable or with zero tax to NetSuite.
