Understand and configure the ECGrid account

Celigo uses the VAN service through ECGridECGrid. With ECGrid, you can configure inbound and outbound EDI flows requiring VAN connectivity.  In ECGrid, you can manage mailbox, trading partners, and trading partner relations. For every VAN connection configured in integrator.io, a user instance is created in ECGrid.

Important

Ensure that you’ve already requested access to ECGrid after setting up a connection to VAN (Value-added network). For more information, see Request access to ECGrid section in Set up a connection to VAN connector.

Step 1: Configure mailbox

  • A mailbox is created for your VAN connection with a unique AS2 ID. The mailbox name is suffixed with the integrator.io account name and a unique ID.

  • In the Description field, you can find the user details and AS2 ID details.

  • For you to be notified, by default your email ID is mentioned in the Errors, Partnerships, and Notices fields.

  • The security certificates are uploaded to ECGrid. You can find the configuration and certificate-related details on the Mailbox page > My Connections to ECGrid tab.

Step 2: Configure the “My Connections to ECGrid” tab

On the AS2 connections page (Mailboxes (select the appropriate mailbox) > My Connections to ECGrid tab > AS2 subtab), find the following details:

  • AS2 ID:  A unique AS2 ID is auto-generated based on VAN's unique ID to share data with trading partners. You can find the unique AS2 ID on the integrator.io/api/connections page.

  • URL: A URL to the mailbox.
