You can update or change your NetSuite connection in your Integration App from basic to either token-based authentication (manual or automatic).
Step 1: Enable Token-based Authentication in NetSuite
- Log in to your NetSuite account as an administrator.
- Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.
- On the Enable Features page, click on the SuiteCloud subtab.
- Scroll down to the Manage Authentication section.
- Check the TOKEN-BASED AUTHENTICATION box.
- Click Save.
Step 2: Create a custom role for the Integration App
- The "Celigo eTail SmartConnectors" and "Celigo integrator.io Full Access w/o 2FA[Locked]"are locked custom Celigo roles. When you clone the role, you can add additional permissions to the role to fit your requirements. This role is available in Celigo integrator.io 1.7.4.14 (bundle ID: 20038) and above.
- When creating custom roles, using alphanumeric characters only.
For e-Commerce Integration Apps
Tip: This section is only applicable for the Amazon, Amazon MCF, BigCommerce, eBay, Magento 2, Shopify, Square, and Walmart integration apps.
- In NetSuite, go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
- On the Manage Roles page, next to the Celigo eTail SmartConnectors role, click Customize.
- Enter a name to save the role (clone) with a different name.
For high-tech Integration Apps
Tip: This section is only applicable for the ADP, Salesforce (IO), Silicon Valley Bank, Vendor Payment Manager, Zendesk integration apps.
- In NetSuite, go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
- On the Manage Roles page, next to the Celigo integrator.io Full Access w/o 2FA[Locked] role, click Customize.
- Enter a name to save the role (clone) with a different name.
Notes:
- For the JIRA - NetSuite integration app, use the Celigo JIRA connector role.
- For the Cash Application Manager integration app, use the Celigo CashApp Manager SmartConnector role.
Change NetSuite connection from basic to token-based authentication (manual)
Step 1: Assign a role to the NetSuite user
- Log in to your NetSuite account as an administrator.
- Go to Setup > User/Roles > Manage Users.
- On the Manage Users page, click on the user name to whom you want to implement the token-based authentication.
- Click Edit.
- On the Employee page, go to the Access tab > Roles sub-tab.
- Enter the custom role name to assign to the employee.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
Step 2: Create access token in NetSuite
- In your NetSuite account, go to Setup > User/Roles > Access Tokens.
- On the Access Tokens page, click New Access Token.
- In the Application Name drop-down menu:
- For e-Commerce apps. select eTail Connectors (Token-Based Auth)
- For high-tech apps, select High Tech Connector (Token-Based Auth)
- In the User field, enter the employee name.
- From the Role drop-down menu, select the custom role you created in the previous step.
- Click Save.
- The Access token details are generated as follows:
Important: Token ID and Token Secret are only displayed once. We recommended that you save them in a password manager application, such as LastPass or store them on your desktop. This way you can reference them later if required.
Step 3: Update Integration App NetSuite connection with acess token details
As a NetSuite admin, who has the required roles or permissions, you can update the exisitng NetSuite connection in your integrator.io account with the access token.
- Log in to integrator.io account.
- Click on the appropriate integration App you wish to update the NetSuite connection.
- Go to Connections.
- Next to the NetSuite connection, below the Actions column, click on the three-dot icon.
- Click Edit Connection.
- In the Authentication Type field, select Token Based Auth (Manual).
- In the Token ID and Token Secret fields, enter the access token details generated in the previous section (Step 2). For more information, refer to Establish Connections in integrator.io.
Tip: Select an appropriate in the IClient drop-down menu, otherwise you will get a invalid or missing consumerKey error. - Click Test connection.
- If you've performed the above-mentioned steps correctly, you'll get a "Your connection is working great! Nice Job." message.
- Click Save & close.

- Log in to integrator.io account.
- Click on the appropriate integration App you wish to update the NetSuite connection.
- Go to Connections.
- Next to the NetSuite connection, below the Actions column, click on the three-dot icon.
- Click Edit Connection.
- In the Authentication Type field, select Token Based Auth (Automatic).
Tip: Select an appropriate in the IClient drop-down menu, otherwise you will get a invalid or missing consumerKey error. - Click Save & authorize.
- You'll be redirected to NetSuite login page. Enter the credentials to authorize.
