Delete logs from MCP server request history

Use Delete logs to permanently remove stored request, response, and tool execution log data for a selected date range while retaining the request history entries for monitoring and audit purposes.

Delete logs when you need to remove sensitive information, such as personally identifiable information (PII), credentials, or business data, before your account's data retention period ends. The data retention period is 30 days by default.

Prerequisites

  • You're an account owner or administrator.
  • The request log data you want to delete must be within the last 29 days.

What Delete logs removes

For the selected date range, Delete logs permanently removes:

  • Stored request and response data.
  • Run logs of tools enabled on the MCP server.

Request history entries remain available with their Time, User, Status, Access token, Capability, Method, and Duration (ms). The deletion is also recorded in the MCP server's audit log.

Important

Deleting logs also removes all run logs of the MCP server's enabled tools for the selected date range, including executions initiated by flows, APIs, or test runs. Run logs of tools that are disabled or no longer on the MCP server aren't deleted. Review any run logs you need before deleting them. This action can't be undone.

After deletion, the affected requests remain in request history, but Open trace view is unavailable because their stored data has been removed. Request history doesn't mark them as deleted.

Delete logs for a date range

  1. Go to AI Studio > MCP servers.
  2. Select Actions (…) next to the MCP server, and then select View request logs.
  3. Select Delete logs.
View request history with Delete logs in the upper-right corner
  4. Select a preset date range, such as Last 15 minutes, or specify a custom range.
Delete logs dialog with a date range selected
  5. Select Delete logs.

Celigo displays Request log payloads deleted. and reloads request history. Tool run logs are deleted in the background and might take a few minutes to disappear.

Note

You can delete stored data for up to 10,000 requests at a time. If the selected range exceeds this limit, nothing is deleted. Select a shorter date range and try again.

Set a custom date range

  1. Select the date range control, and then select Custom range.
  2. In Set custom range, select the start and end dates.
  3. To narrow the range, select Time select, and then specify the start and end times. Time select is available after you select a date.
  4. (Optional) Select a different Time zone for the start and end times.
  5. Select Apply.

To remove the custom range, select Clear.

A custom range can't start more than 29 days ago or end in the future.

Check who deleted logs

Each deletion is recorded in the MCP server's audit log as a Purge logs action, including the user who performed the deletion and the number of requests whose data was removed.

To view the audit log, select Actions (…) next to the MCP server, and then select View audit logs.

For more information, see View or download your audit logs.
