By default, users can sign in to integrator.io with an email and password, even after single sign-on (SSO) is enabled for your account. As the account owner or administrator, you decide which users must sign in with SSO instead. You can require SSO for everyone on the account at once or for specific users at a time, on a need basis or as a partial rollout.
Note
When you require SSO for your users, they might have to set Use this account for SSO. Read "Scenarios to consider when signing in with SSO" in Sign in with SSO so that you are also aware of them and can guide your users.
This article covers SSO for all users, except the owner. To require SSO for the account owner as well, see Require SSO for the account owner.
Prerequisites
- Before you can require SSO, you must first enable SSO for your account.
- Only an account owner or admin can require SSO for users.
Require SSO for all users
This is the quickest way to require SSO account-wide, and the option most accounts want.
- Sign in to integrator.io, go to Account, and select Security.
- In the Single sign-on (SSO) section, select the Require SSO for all users checkbox. (All users does not include the account owner.)
- Select Save.
Turning this setting on or off is recorded in the account's audit log, along with who made the change and when.
Important
Turning it on also removes the per-user Require SSO toggle for specific users. It disappears from the Users list (Account > Users) and from the Invite user form when you invite a new user, since SSO is now required for everyone.
Require SSO for specific users
Use this for a partial rollout, where only some users need to sign in with SSO. You enable Require SSO for each user individually; if you're inviting multiple new users to the same role in a single invitation, you can require SSO for all of them together in the Invite user form.
To require SSO for existing users:
- Open the avatar in the top right corner, and select Users.
- In the Users list, select the users you want.
- Turn on the toggle in the Require account SSO? column.
To require SSO for new users:
- From the Users tab, select + Invite user in the top right corner.
- In the Invite user form, enter the user's email address. You can invite multiple users to the same role in a single invitation.
- Select the role and permissions for the user.
- Turn on the Require SSO setting.
- Select Invite.
Tip: You can also view and update user access via the users API.
