Set up a connection to Salesforce with refresh token authentication

Salesforce is an AI-powered customer relationship management (CRM) platform that helps businesses manage sales, service, marketing, and commerce in one place.

Important: Salesforce is enforcing a 30-day idle limit on OAuth refresh tokens as part of its OAuth security requirements. Salesforce revokes any refresh token that goes unused for more than 30 days. If your Salesforce connection uses a refresh token and stays idle for more than 30 days (for example, a connection used only by seasonal or on-demand flows), it stops working until you reauthorize it. Connections used by flows that run at least once every 30 days are not affected. To reauthorize, open the connection, select Save and authorize, and sign in to Salesforce. 1. Name (required): Name the connection.
2. Connection type (required): The form will automatically select Salesforce.
3. Account type (required): Select Production or Sandbox.

4. Oauth2 flow type (required): Select Refresh token for web applications where server-side code needs to interact with Force.com APIs on the user’s behalf. (JWT bearer token connections are described separately.)

   The Force.com platform implements the OAuth 2.0 Authorization Framework, so users can authorize applications to access Force.com resources on their behalf without revealing their passwords or other credentials to those applications.

   Optional concurrency and rate limit settings

   • Borrow concurrency from (optional): Select another connection from the list. By default, all data flowing through a connection record is submitted to the respective endpoint application at the concurrency level configured for that connection record. There are cases, however, where multiple integrator.io connections need to share the same concurrency level, and this setting allows you to specify which connection you would like to borrow from. With borrowed concurrency, the data flowing through both connections will be submitted to the endpoint application together, via a shared concurrency model.

   • Auto-recover rate limit errors: This setting is enabled by default with a predefined value for Target concurrency level. You can disable the setting if required. To set or make changes in any of these settings, you must have admin or manage permissions.

     • Target concurrency level: This setting is shown only if Auto-recover rate limit errors is enabled. Change the predefined value as required to limit the number of concurrent API requests allowed by the connection resource. For more information, see Setting concurrency level on a connection.
     • Concurrency level: When Auto-recover rate limit errors is checked, you can't modify the concurrency level because it matches the value set by the connected platform's runtime. When Auto-recover rate limit errors is not checked, you can enter a value to limit the number of concurrent API requests allowed by the connection resource. 5. Enter your registered Salesforce account username and password and click Login. The following page displays:
