Amazon - NetSuite release notes v1.23.4 January 2021

What’s new

Manage Amazon item discounts at line-level

To sync accurate discounts to NetSuite, the Integration App is enhanced to display line-level discounts on the sales order, cash sale, or invoice based on the discount item selected in the NetSuite discount item to track Amazon item discounts at line-level (recommended) setting (Settings > Order section > Order tab). The selected item is shown as a separate line item below the original line item on the NetSuite sales order. This enhancement is applicable to all the marketplaces (Sales tax set up or GST/VAT set up). The discounts and taxes are calculated consistently and the same values are reflected in all the order records such as invoices, payments, credit memos, and settlement reports.

For more information, refer to Manage Amazon item discounts at line-level.

Important: In Settings > Order section > Order tab, select a discount either in the NetSuite discount item to track Amazon line-level discounts (recommended) setting or in the NetSuite discount item to track Amazon item discounts at cart-level setting. If you select the discount item in both settings, an error message is displayed.

Sync order taxes as per Amazon changes for VAT regulation in the UK marketplace

Starting January 1, 2021, online marketplaces are responsible for charging and collecting VAT for sales to the UK from overseas selling partners to comply with the new VAT regulation announced by the UK government. As per the UK marketplace tax changes, Amazon MWS has updated the Amazon Fulfillment API to determine a selling partner's “Ship from address” information when confirming seller-fulfilled orders. If an order is shipped outside the UK marketplace, Amazon collects and remits taxes on their behalf. The Integration App is enhanced and updated to sync data to NetSuite as per the Amazon Fulfillment API changes.

For more information, refer to Configure NetSuite custom fields to support Amazon Fulfillment API changes.

Display dependent flows on the Integration App user interface

You can now find the dependent flows on the Integration App user interface that was previously available only in the backend code. These flows are either auto-triggered or run in sequence by one of the existing integration flows. You can’t schedule, enable, or run the dependent flows. For more information, refer to Intro to Error Management. Following are the dependent flows:

  • Amazon (FBA) order to NetSuite order Add (on-demand sync)
  • Amazon (MFN) order to NetSuite order Add (on-demand sync)
  • NetSuite <ABC> category to Amazon <ABC> category (add or update)

For more information, refer to Understand the Amazon - NetSuite dependent flows.

What’s fixed

Create inventory adjustments when the “Advanced Bin/Numbered Inventory Management” checkbox is unchecked

When you run the “Amazon (FBA) Inventory Adjustments to NetSuite Inventory Adjustments” flow, the flow now creates inventory adjustments (positive and negative) for,

  • Serialized and Lot Inventory Item
  • Serialized and Lot Assembly/Bill of Materials

The flow creates the inventory adjustments irrespective of the Advanced Bin/Numbered Inventory Management checkbox is checked or unchecked in NetSuite.

Note: In NetSuite, you can find the  Advanced Bin/Numbered Inventory Management checkbox at Setup > Company > Enable Features page > Items & Inventory tab > Inventory section.

Information: Any updates to the sandbox environment are supported only on-demand basis.
