Note
Required: You must update your on-premise agent to version 5.7.1. Agents not updated may lose connectivity to the Celigo platform.
To keep your integrations running, download and install the latest on-premise agent from integrator.io. This article walks you through the full update process, including how to verify the update and what to do if you have multiple agents. The update takes 10–15 minutes and requires administrator access on the machine where your agent is installed.
-
Time required: 10–15 minutes
-
Who should do this: The person with access to the machine where the agent is installed — typically an IT administrator
-
What you’ll need: Login credentials for your Celigo account and administrator access on the agent host machine
-
Important: Pause any scheduled flows running through this agent before starting the update. Any in-progress jobs will be interrupted during the install and will need to be re-triggered after the update.
-
Sign in to integrator.io.
-
Go to Resources > On-premise agents.
-
Find your agent in the list and note the version number.
If your agent is already on v5.7.1, no action is needed.
-
Pause any scheduled flows that use connections running through this agent.
-
Wait for any currently running jobs to complete before proceeding.
This prevents jobs from failing during the update.
-
In Resources > On-premise agents, select Show token next to your agent.
-
Select the copy icon next to the token to copy it to your clipboard.
-
Save this token somewhere safe — you will need it after the install.
-
In Resources > On-premise agents, select Download next to your existing agent and choose your operating system (Windows or Linux).
-
Save the installer file to the machine where your agent is running.
Download from your existing agent — do not create a new agent. Downloading and installing the updated binary on the same agent preserves all your connections and flow associations.
If your agent runs on a different machine than the one you’re using, transfer the installer to that machine before continuing.
-
Go to Resources > On-premise agents in integrator.io.
-
Refresh the page.
-
Confirm your agent version shows v5.7.1.
-
Confirm the agent status shows as Online.
-
Resume the flows you paused in Step 2.
Your agent token and connection settings are preserved — no reconfiguration is needed.
If your account has more than one on-premise agent, update them one at a time:
-
Pause flows for the first agent.
-
Update it following the steps above.
-
Confirm it is online and showing v5.7.1.
-
Resume its flows.
-
Proceed to the next agent.
Do not update all agents simultaneously.

How are you pushing this upgrade when the on-premise agent runs behind our firewall? Does Celigo have a backdoor to my system?
Celigo has no way to access your system. This update is possible because active agents look for the latest agent in a GitHub repository. Once the latest agent software is placed in the repository, the active agent picks up the latest update.
Yes. The update process stops the current agent and starts a new one. Any flows running through the agent at the time of the install will be interrupted, and in-progress jobs may fail. To avoid this, pause your scheduled flows and wait for running jobs to complete before starting the update.
Scheduled flows will resume on their next scheduled run once the agent is back online. However, any jobs that were interrupted or failed during the update will not automatically retry — you will need to re-trigger them manually. This is why pausing flows before the update is important.
No. All your agent settings, registered connections, and tokens are preserved during the update. Only the agent runtime is updated.
No. Download the installer from your existing agent in Resources > On-premise agents. This updates the agent binary in place and preserves all your connections and flow associations. If you create a new agent instead, you would need to manually re-link it to all associated flows and connections.
No — the installer updates your existing agent in place. However, a clean install (uninstalling the old version first, then installing) is the recommended approach if you encounter issues with the in-place update. Contact Celigo support before attempting a clean install.
If the installer does not complete successfully:
-
Include your agent name, the error message (if any), and your operating system version.
-
Celigo support will assist you with recovery, including providing the previous agent version if needed.
Do not attempt to uninstall or reinstall without guidance from Celigo support.
-
Windows: Press
Win + R, typewinver, and press Enter. -
Linux: Open a terminal and run
lsb_release -aorcat /etc/os-release.
Yes. Since you are performing the update manually, you can choose when to run the installer. Schedule it during a maintenance window — pause your flows, wait for running jobs to complete, then perform the update.
This is a required update for security and platform compatibility. If you have a specific concern that prevents you from updating, contact your Customer Success Manager or Celigo support to discuss.
Yes. The update process is the same for both Windows and Linux. Download the installer for your operating system from Resources > On-premise agents and follow the same steps above. For additional command-line steps specific to Linux, see Integrate data through firewall with Linux on-premise agent.
