Set up an OAuth 2.0 connection to Shopify

Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows users to set up an online store and sell their products. It helps you manage your orders - from inventory to point of sale to shipping and returns.

To configure the Shopify connection with a Public app in integrator.io, you must install the integrator.io app in the Shopify App Store.

Set up a connection

After you start the connection, configure it in the Create connection panel and complete all of the required * authentication settings:

Notes

It is recommended to use the 2026-10 API version.
To set up an OAuth 2.0 connection to Shopify in the Shopify - NetSuite integration app, see OAuth 2.0 connection in Shopify - NetSuite integration app.
If you are an EU user, make sure you sign in with the EU Account sign-in option to access the connection form. Signing in through the global portal may redirect you back to the sign-in page.
If you configured your connection with Public app, you can’t reauthenticate it using Custom app. If you configured it with Custom app, you can reauthenticate it using Public app.

Setting	Instructions
Name your connection *	Enter a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you will have the option to choose this new connection. A unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting it from a list of the connections in your account.
API type *	Choose your Shopify account API type: HTTP: Use traditional HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) for straightforward interactions with individual resources. GraphQL: Use GraphQL for flexible, efficient queries and mutations, retrieving only the required data with a single endpoint.
API version	Select your Shopify account’s API version. For example, 2026-10. For more information, see the REST admin API reference.
Store name *	Public app: integrator.io fills in this field after you set up the OAuth 2.0 connection in the Shopify App Store. You can’t edit it. Custom app: Enter your Shopify store name after you create an OAuth 2.0 client.
Auth type *	Select OAuth 2.0 as the authentication type for this connection. The form changes depending on the selected authentication type. The OAuth 2.0 authentication type requires you to configure the connection in the Shopify App Store.
App type *	Choose the type of Shopify app that integrator.io uses to connect to your store. Custom app: Connect using an OAuth 2.0 client that has your Shopify app credentials. Select an existing client or add a new one, and then choose the scopes this connection can access. For more information on retrieving the Client ID and Client secret, see Credentials. Public app: Connect through the Celigo app in the Shopify App Store. Shopify requires you to create this connection from the Shopify App Store. Scopes * (Only for Custom app)	Scopes are OAuth 2.0 permissions that Shopify defines to limit access to your account. Make sure you select `read_orders` in scopes.

Set up a new OAuth 2.0 connection from the Shopify app store for Public app

To configure the connection:

Click Continue at the Shopify app store. The Celigo app page appears.
Click Add app. The Login page appears.
Sign in to your Shopify account. The Your stores window appears.
Select the required store. The Install integrator.io page appears.
Read the information and click Install app. The Celigo sign in page appears if the user is not signed in.
Name your connection (required): Provide a clear and distinguishable name. Throughout integrator.io imports and exports, you can choose this new connection, and a unique identifier will prove helpful later when selecting a list of connections you’ve created.
Provide the credentials and click Sign in. The Set up connection page appears.
API version (required): Select your Shopify account’s API version. For example, 2026-07. For more information, see REST admin API reference.
Store name (required): The form will automatically get the store name that was selected while configuring the app.
Click Save & authorize. You will be navigated to the integrator.io > Connections dashboard page and you can see the connection Status as Online.

Use existing OAuth 2.0 connection from Shopify app store for Public app

Navigate to the integrator.io app page.
Click Open app. The Set up connection page appears.
Choose Use existing connection.
From Connection, select the required Shopify connection.
Click Save & authorize. You will be navigated to the integrator.io > Connections dashboard page and you can see the connection Status as Online.
