Organize flows and APIs into groups

If you have an integration with many flows or APIs and you have the appropriate access, you can create groups and assign flows or APIs to groups to keep them organized. Each group acts as a folder. When you click the group name, only flows or APIs assigned to that group are displayed.

Keep in mind that groups are simply a tool to categorize flows and APIs within an integration. Assigning a flow or API to a group does not impact scheduling or other flow configuration settings that determine when a flow runs.

Create a flow or API group

  1. From the Home page, click the integration containing the flows or APIs you want to organize.

  2. On the far right, click …More and then select + Create group.

  3. Enter a meaningful Name for the group. For example, use a name to describe the overall business process that occurs when these flows or APIs run, such as Fulfillment or Billing.

  4. Select each flow or API you want to include in the group.

  5. Click Save & close.

Repeat this process for each additional group you want to create. Keep in mind:

  • All flows or APIs that you do not assign appear under a system group called "Unassigned".

  • Each flow or API can only be assigned to one group at a time. If you initially assign an API to Group A and later create Group B, where you include that same API, it will only appear in Group B.

Reorder flow or API groups

  1. On the Flows or APIs tab, hover over a group name on the left.

  2. Click the handle icon that appears, then drag and drop the group.

  3. Repeat with each group as needed to achieve the desired order.

Keep in mind that you can schedule flows and configure flows to run in succession to control when flows run. The order of groups, or flows within each group, does not determine the run schedule.

Edit a flow or API group

You can edit a flow/API group to change its name or assign and remove flows/APIs from the group.

  1. Navigate to your desired integration.

  2. In the Flows or APIs tab, select the group you want to modify.

  3. On the far right, click …More and then select + Edit flow/API group.

  4. Change the name or flow/API assignments as needed.

  5. Click Save & close.

Delete a flow or API group

Deleting a flow or API group moves its automations to the system "Unassigned" group. No flows or APIs are deleted.

  1. Navigate to your desired integration.

  2. On the Flows or API tab, select the group.

  3. On the far right, click …More and then select + Edit flow/API group.

  4. Click Delete flow/API group, and then click Delete under the confirmation message.
