Understand the Amazon-NetSuite integration app quickstart configuration wizard

While installing Amazon – NetSuite, set up your integration app by configuring the required settings using the Quickstart configuration window.

On the Amazon – NetSuite integration app installation page, on the Quickstart configuration window, choose either Configure now or Configure later.

Note

Other than the quickstart configuration wizard settings, if there are any other settings/mappings required to be configured or updated such as saved searches or subsidiary mappings, it is required to configure these manually after the integration app is successfully installed.

  1. If you choose Configure later , you’ll be redirected to the Flows page on the successful installation of the integration app

  2. If you choose to Configure now continue to configure the settings as per your business requirements.

Configure orders

  1. Click Orders menu > MFN sub-menu.

  2. In the Map ship methods setting, m ap the shipping methods between Amazon and NetSuite. You can configure a one-to-one mapping. If you do not configure any mappings in this setting and run the Amazon (MFN) Order to NetSuite Order Add flow, it displays an error on the integration app Dashboard.

  3. In the NetSuite discount item to track Amazon item discounts at line-level (recommended) setting, c hoose a NetSuite discount item to track the Amazon line-level discounts. The selected item is displayed as a separate line item below the original line item on the NetSuite sales order. For more information, see Manage Amazon item discounts at line level .

FBA orders

  1. Click FBA sub-menu.

  2. In the Select NetSuite inventory location setting, choose a NetSuite inventory or fulfillment location. The Amazon (FBA) Order to NetSuite Order Add flow syncs the selected location to NetSuite invoice, cash sale, or sales order at the body level and line level.

  3. In the Map ship methods setting, map the shipping methods between Amazon and NetSuite. You can configure a one-to-one mapping. If you do not configure any mappings in this setting, the Amazon (FBA) Order to NetSuite Order Add flow displays an error on the integration app Dashboard.

  4. In the NetSuite discount item to track Amazon item discounts at line-level (recommended) setting, choose a NetSuite discount item to track the Amazon line-level discounts. The selected item is shown as a separate line item below the original line item on the NetSuite sales order. For more information, refer to Manage Amazon item discounts at line-level .

Configure tax

  1. Click to expand the Tax menu.

  2. Sync sales tax to NetSuite as* : Choose an option to sync sales tax between Amazon and NetSuite. For more information, see Manage Amazon order sales tax in NetSuite . Choose one,

    • Add total tax against a single line item on the order to sync the total against a single line item on the NetSuite sales order. If you select this option, select an item in the NetSuite item to track Amazon tax amount as a line item setting.

    • NetSuite calculate taxes using its own tax engine to instruct NetSuite to calculate the taxes using its native tax engine based on the tax code and tax rate provided for an item.

    • Overwrite taxes with Amazon tax amounts to overwrite the NetSuite tax totals with values from Amazon. This is a leading practice.

  3. Per-line taxes on transactions enabled in NetSuite : Check this box if the Per-line taxes on transactions setting is enabled in your NetSuite account. This setting assigns taxes to transaction line items and charges different tax rates for items on the same transaction. To find this setting, in NetSuite, go to Setup > Accounting > Taxes > Set Up Taxes .

  4. Default tax code when no match is found in NetSuite : You can see this setting only when you select Overwrite taxes with Amazon tax amounts option in the Sync sales tax to NetSuite as* setting. Enter the internal ID of a taxable NetSuite tax code or tax group that is applied to every order and the order line when no matching tax code or group is found in NetSuite. You can either create a tax code and tax group or use an existing one from your NetSuite account at Setup > Accounting > Taxes > Tax Codes .

  5. NetSuite item to track Amazon tax amount as a line item : You can see this setting only when you select Add total tax against a single line item on the order option in the Sync sales tax to NetSuite as* setting. Choose a NetSuite item to track the Amazon order total sales tax. The selected item is added as a line item on the NetSuite sales order. In NetSuite, be sure to create the item either as a non-inventory, payment, or other charges. If you’re creating an Other Charge for Purchase item, in the Preferences tab, unchec k the Can be Fulfilled/Received setting.

  6. Assign the default tax code to all orders : Check this box if you want to assign a default tax code to each order or line item in NetSuite for all the orders received from the Amazon marketplace.

  7. Enable GST/VAT for your marketplace : Check this box if GST/VAT is applicable for the Amazon marketplace.

  8. Apply GST/VAT rate reported by Amazon : You can see this setting only if the Enable GST/VAT for your marketplace check box is checked. Check this box if you want to bring tax details from Amazon. If you do not want to bring GST/VAT details from Amazon, you can specify the appropriate tax rate in the "Enter GST/VAT rate to apply across all orders" setting.

  9. Notice

    If the VAT is 20%, specify the value as 20.Enter GST/VAT rate to apply across all orders : You can see this setting only if the Enable GST/VAT for your marketplace check box is checked. Specify the GST/VAT rate in percentage to deduct tax from the order during order sync. It also adds tax to the item price during pricing and item sync.

  10. Exclude Tax if Marketplace Tax Collection applies : Check this checkbox if you do not want to bring the tax details into NetSuite for the states where Amazon collects and remits taxes on your behalf.

  11. Click Submit.
